Panelería Solar Midsummer BOLD

Midsummer BOLD integrates thin-film CIGS solar cells into a module only 2 mm thick and weighing 2.9 kg/m². It bonds directly to the roof without frames or penetrations, bringing solar generation to roofs where conventional system weight can be limiting.

Panelería Solar Midsummer BOLD product

Challenge

  • Many metal roofs or low-load-bearing structures cannot support the weight, penetrations, or structural reinforcements associated with conventional photovoltaic systems.

Solution

  • Flexible BOLD modules bond directly to the roof with butyl tape, without rails or penetrations. The reference BOLD 8x12 model delivers 330 W and can use up to 90% of the available area, depending on project conditions.

Benefits

  • 2.9 kg/m² and 2 mm thick
  • Installation without framing or penetrations
  • Walkable and resistant to microcracks
  • 25-year product warranty
  • 80% power output guaranteed after 25 years
  • 98% recyclable and made with 63% recycled material

Applications

  • Metal roofs
  • Industrial buildings
  • Logistics centers
  • Buildings with limited load capacity
